With rustic pine floors, warm earthy paint colors (now a little different than when these photos were taken) and soaring vaulted, beamed ceilings, this one-of-a-kind space is more of a "loft" than an "apartment". There are only two doors: the front door downstairs and the door to the bathroom. The rest of the apartment is a free-form space. No two people who've called this apartment "home" have put their bed in the same place. |

From east to west, the apartment runs a tremendous 43'5" and the vaulted ceilings only add to the feeling of spaciousness. In addition to the main living space, there are four nooks each approximately 5' deep by 10' wide. Each nook has a hidden door to storage areas behind the walls. The painted brick chimney and amazing, hinged, divided-light period windows only add to the quirky charm. As homey and livable as it is unique and eccentric, I wish I could take photos that give a better sense of the feeling of the space... Let's just say this apartment really needs to be seen to be appreciated. |
