We love this kitchen... it's like a snappy little diner. Cabinet doors are high-gloss red with aluminum edges. The glass upper cabinet has side-sliding doors. The countertops are solid oak butcher-block with a stainless steel tile backsplash. The main lighting is low-voltage halogen on a dimmer. Additional task lighting comes from the range hood and halogen under-cabinet lights. And it is quite roomy: under the big kitchen window is the perfect place to sip coffee at your kitchen table, gaze out at the St Johns Bridge and Willamette River, and put off whatever you were planning to get done. |

| The appliances are all new in 2006 and stainless steel: refrigerator with an automatic icemaker, dishwasher, smooth-top range, range hood. We couldn't resist the neat aluminum light for the kitchen table area... it is adjustable height with a reel on the ceiling and on a dimmer. | |||||||

| There is an amazing amount of storage in this kitchen. The drawers are all on full-extension runners, the upper cabinets are 39" high and the base corner cabinet has wire baskets that spin 360 degrees. There's a pull-out pantry cabinet next to the range for spices, oils and other cooking essentials. | |||||||

| We've put in a new extra-deep, double-bowl stainless steel sink and contemporary pull-out faucet under a the window with a view of Forest Park and the River. Not a bad setting for doing your dishes, eh? | |||||||

| Goodbye laundromat! Your very own front-loading washer and dryer await. A nook in the kitchen serves as the laundry center (and houses the water heater). | |||||||
