Parks: Unthank Park is 3 blocks northeast. Dawson Park is 1/2 mi southeast. Overlook Park has an off-leash area and amazing views of the City. It's 1/2 mi west.

Coffee: Albina Press is one of our favorite coffee spots in Portland, and Fresh Pot is also on Mississippi. At the other end of Mississippi is Muddy's Coffeehouse.

Other Stuff: Video Verite for movie rentals. Black Rose Collective is a bookstore and community center (with a lending library). Pistils Nursery and the Rebuilding Center should be on any Mississippi must-see list, along with Sunlan, the lightbulb specialty store.
