Parks: The Grotto is at 85th and Sandy -- it is a 62-acre botanical garden (and Catholic shrine) (and gift shop). Rocky Butte is south of that and can be a nice place to walk. Rose City Park, is about 1/2 miles south. Wellington Park, under a mile north Normandale Park, just under 1 mi south, large off-leash area. Also: Whitaker Ponds Natural Area.
